Laura Medina is also the director and founder of the first Haute Couture event held in Barcelona, ​​we are referring to OH, LA LA! BARCELONA. She is a highly creative woman who has loved fashion since her origins.

What are your traditions for the winter holidays?
Decorating our house for Christmas as a family, shopping and giving presents, and when work allows it, a trip together.
What is your favorite part of the Christmas holidays?
Meeting friends and family, their company, laughter, organizing endless gift lists, surprising them and seeing their happy faces, I don't experience that the rest of the year.







 

Do you prefer “lots of small gifts” or “one or two substantial gifts” when it comes to holiday gifts?















































































Many small gifts, including two substantial ones. Yes, for me it is a magical moment to open Christmas presents.









































































 Do you prefer to be a host or a guest? And why?






















































































 Well, I love being a host. I really enjoy organizing, cooking, decorating. It makes me very happy. If I go as a guest, it's more boring.

My job is my passion and it consists, just like at Christmas, in making my brides happy by achieving their dream total bridal look.









































































 Where do you find inspiration for your own bridal hairstyle collections?






















































































 At sea, it's strange but my collections flow when I'm in front of the sea... creativity takes off when I relax and organize information, the trends and novelties that our authors present are my first guideline for creating them.









































































 One of your projects is OH, LA LA! BARCELONA, the first Haute Couture event in the city. Why was Oh, La La! Barcelona created? Why did you decide to go into Haute Couture?



















































































 
I have been advising brides and training professionals for 35 years so that they can advise more perfect brides and guests. I see the shortcomings that exist and the lack of information that our clients lack... there was no event that put them in contact with the closeness that I consider should exist between the designer and the author with their final client and I decided as a company to invest in my dream event, and that is how Oh, la la! Barcelona was born.









 Haute Couture is my other passion. The low visibility of artisans and giving them the added value of having a presence at a luxury event is the essence of this differential event that captivates you with the personalization they receive first-hand from their creators.













































































































 What do you think is the future of craftsmanship?






















































































 
Artisans create with their soul and with their hands, they are feelings giving shape to beautiful things that have an added value, they transmit life, every time the human being seeks more the essence of the authentic, that is why the art and craftsmanship of our ancestors are now the future.






































































 Name three great creatives whom you admire for their professional quality.















































































How difficult, I say this to name just three… I cannot conceive professional quality without human quality, that is why I am very profound when it comes to admiring…










 Estella McCartney for her values ​​and commitment to creating with an eye on the environment. Antonio Gaudí would be my favorite creative. Designer Coco Chanel is my favorite creative. My father and also my grandmother.


















 What does luxury mean to you?


















 
Luxury is having the culture of appreciating that an artist gives you his time and that out of love he dedicates himself body and soul to create for and by you, that is priceless, that is why luxury is not expensive it is simply not within the reach of all those who can appreciate it.
