Who is Joel Miñana?
“A guy who lives in Barcelona, I work as a fashion illustrator and I specialize in drawing live, just as it was done in the 1920s. I combine my role as an illustrator with that of a professor of fashion history and design.”
What are your main sources of inspiration?
“I will try not to fall into clichés. I am obsessed with the light and colour of the sky, it is one of the first things I do when I land in a new city. I really like travelling alone to discover new places, meet people and listen. Getting inspired is an adventure that ranges from taking a plane to reading or eating well with friends.”
Who is Maria Jesus?
“It may seem like a topical issue, but I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. Art has always been a part of my life, surrounded by my mother’s self-taught art at home and her beloved collection of art history books that we read together when I was a child. I have never been afraid to play with new materials; getting my hands dirty in new experiments has become a “must” in the development of my creativity.”
Where do you find inspiration?
"For me, inspiration can be found everywhere: from books, magazines and movies, to walks in nature or daily routines."
On May 24, 25, 26 and 27 we presented the New SS23 NATURE Collection by OEOE Handbags at the OLIBATI Madrid boutique with the special collaboration of fashion illustrator Maria Jesús Delgado. She has designed for the occasion some Limited Edition T-shirts with a bag from the new collection and some postcards.
The New NATURE Collection is inspired by the natural world, the Mediterranean, the landscapes and colours of the coast, captured in modern and functional accessories that add an elegant and summery touch to each look.
